Hey tired Mummas I’m back from a revitalising visit to The Spread Eagle in Midhurst, and I have to say it’s one of my favourite places to relax and unwind in West Sussex!

It wasn’t our first visit and certainly won’t be the last – hubs and I took advantage of one of their popular Spa Day special offers which pop up from time to time, making a morning at the Spa and a 2 course lunch for £65 a proper bargain.

As always, parking is a dream as there is a huge carpark behind the hotel with ample spaces.  As soon as you get out of the car you feel instantly relaxed by the beautiful surroundings.  Enter the building through the rear entrance into the bright and colourful conservatory – how gorgeous are those beautiful yellow sofas!?!. The whole hotel has a charming ‘old world’ feel but with a large helping of luxury…

Turn right and head towards the glass doors at the end of the hallway, as you enter you’ll notice the gym on your right and the reception desk in front of you.  You’ll also get a delicous whiff of the gorgeous Temple Spa products they use in the Spa.

After booking in at  reception you’ll be given a big fluffy white robe, some flip flops and offered a welcome drink which will be served to you at the poolside once you are settled.

The pool is a decent size, the perfect temperature and big enough to swim laps if you are that way inclined. You’ll also be able to enjoy the steam room, the sauna and a jacuzzi.

When the weather is warmer, the doors open into the relaxing Spa garden which is decked out (literally) in comfy wooden loungers.  There is a relaxation room where you can hide from the world.

If you want to really invest in your self care, you can book one of their sumptuous treatments in one of their six treatment rooms.

There are many things I love about visiting The Spread Eagle, not least the way the changing rooms are equipped.  Thoughtfully decked out in gorgeous Temple Spa products, considerate touches like cotton wool pads, moisturiser, plastic bags for your wet swimsuit and big, free lockers.

If like me you are bespeckled, you’ll love the fact that the shower gel is located on the opposite site of the taps to the shampoo and conditioner! Normally a complete conundrum in an unfamiliary shower for me. The fact that they offer conditioner is also a big plus for me as my long hair doesn’t do well ‘post swim’ without it.

All in all, if you are looking for a day away from your normal life where you will feel pampered and serene, then you’ll love The Spread Eagle.
