On my last birthday I found myself in the fortunate position of having the day completely to myself.  The kids were at school, hubs was at work, and I could do whatever I wanted to do – all day!  So I opted to try out the ‘Ladies That Lunch‘ package at Angmering Manor for the bargain price of £25.00 which includes access to the swimming pool, their small gym and their sauna, as well as a delicious 2 course lunch in the hotel restaurant.

Yes – you read that correctly – £25.00 !

It’s hard to find a decent two course meal for that price, let along including a relaxing morning by the pool.

Angmering Manor is beautiful, the building itself dates back to the 1500s and it’s located in the beautiful village of Angmering, West Sussex.  There is parking on site (not loads but enough) and as soon as you step through the beautiful front door, you are transported to another world of country house style luxury.

The building is quirky, with lots of wood, low ceilings in places, little doorways along with a big open restaurant at the rear of the property which overlooks the mature gardens.  The team are genuinely friendly and welcoming, and ensure you feel right at home throughout your visit.  I had a little time between my swim and sauna and lunch, and chose to relax on the big leather sofa in the bar area whilst reading my book while I waited for my table.

On arrival you’ll be accompanied to the pool area – it’s not huge, but it doesn’t need to be.  There are 2 changing booths, showers and a hairdryer, and glass doors into the pool area.  Big fluffy robes and towels are provided.

Whilst there are chairs around the pool, there isn’t enough space to ‘lounge’ around,  so bare this in mind when planning your trip.  If the weather is warm you are welcome ot use the garden furniture on the lawn outside the pool.

If you are looking for a bit of ‘me time’ during the school day and still want to be able to pick the kids up by 3pm, then make sure you bookmark this page!  Bookings are made by calling the hotel on 01903 859849 and booking with reception.
