Legoland Windsor has always been a firm favourite family day out, and a location of choice for a summer holidays adventure. But how are they coping post lockdown? Do families feel safe during their visit and what restrictions are in place?

A number of our members have recently paid a visit to the popular Lego-themed theme park and the feedback was overall very positive!

Recently awarded the VisitEngland ‘We’re Good To Go’ industry charter mark that means Legoland Windsor meets Government and Public Health guidance on Covid-19 and that all the required health and safety processes are in place and enabled them to re-open.

As part of Covid-19 safety processes, it is now required that you book online before you visit as the resort are now working on reduced capacity in order to adhere to adequate social distancing.

You will also have your temperature taken on arrival to ensure everyone is well before they enter the resort. Adults are also asked to wear face coverings on the rides.

Members also commented how there is ample space for social distancing and a one-way system to follow around the park (which sometimes visitors need reminding of!) and hand sanitizer all around the park.

Other feedback also praised Legoland’s efforts at their continual and rigorous cleaning of all of the rides between uses which is reassuring for everyone.

The additional cleaning and social distancing measures do however have some implications on the ride wait times with some visitors commenting that the app queue times are not an accurate representation of the actual length of the queues (some wait times were up to 50 minutes long for the more popular rides.)

Overall, the feedback from many that have visited Legoland both post-Covid19 and during the busier summer holiday period was unanimous in that the additional health and safety measures implemented by Legoland were well planned, cleaning was maintained, adults and staff wore masks where applicable, social distancing was adhered to for the most part and handwashing and hygiene were evidently high on the resort’s priorities and none of the additional measures had a negative impact in the overall enjoyment and participation of the visit.

Well done Legoland, you can see why you are the UK’s favourite family friendly theme park!
